Hey everyone, thanks for coming to check out our blog and first official recipe video. I decided to make this our first how to, becasue its one of my absolute favorite recipes and is one of the first things I learned how to cook myself at home. Its decadent and comforting all at the same time, we hope this inspires you to try something new in the kitchen pour yourself a drink and as always have fun
Chix Marsala Recipe
Ingredients:
~7 chix tenderloins ~2 Tbsp. Butter
~2 Cups Mushrooms (any kind you like) ~1 Cup Dry Marsala Wine
~1 Whole White Onion ~1 Cup Chicken Stock/Broth
~1 tsp. Salt ~3 Tbsp. flour and equal parts warm water
~1 tsp. pepper
~3 Tbsp. Brown Sugar
~3 Cloves Garlic
Instructions
*Check out the video for step by step instructions
~1- Heat a sauté pan to a medium high heat and add enough olive oil to cover the bottom of your chicken tenderloins so they don't stick. Once heated add your chicken tenderloins to the pan. You're looking for a brown color on each side which should take about 3 mins per side to achieve that. Don't cook all the way through we will continue cooking the chicken later in the sauce. remove the chicken from the pan and set aside on a new plate.
~2- In the same pan we cooked the chicken turn the heat back on to medium and add your onions and garlic, cook until translucent about two min.
~3- To the onion and garlic mixture add your mushrooms and cook for one minute to create a bit of softness in them.
~4- Now its time to add the butter, salt&pepper, thyme, and brown sugar. Thoroughly mix to incorporate all ingredients together.
~5- Once incorporated add the marsala wine and chicken stock/broth and bring to a boil.
~6- Once you get it boiling turn down the heat add back in the chicken and simmer on medium low for 20 minutes to achieve a reduction in the sauce.
~7- After it has been reduced take the chicken back out turn the heat off and in a separate bowl mix together the flow and equal amounts of warm water, stir until dissolved and then mix in the marsala sauce to achieve a thicker style sauce
~8- Now she's ready to serve over pasta or mashed potatoes.
~9-Pour yourself a glass of wine and enjoy all your delicious hard work
