Marlee turned the BIG 30 last month and to celebrate we decided to pack our bags and ski gear and head off to Colorado. The trip was amazing to say the least and we were diligent to try out a few places to eat and drink while we were there so we can share it with all of you lovelies. We stayed in Frisco, CO which is a gorgeous little town, but spent a lot of time in the popular town of Breckenridge as well. We hope you use this guide next time youāre there, and as always feel free to ask us any questions š„³š„³š„³ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø

Briar Rose Chophouse & Saloon š¹

I chose this place on a whim while google searching a steak house for my birthday dinner. I chose this place because of their five star reviews praising the customer service and the quality of the food. Briar Rose held true to their Google legacy and met all of our expectations. This unique restaurant is located in the picturesque town of Breckenridge and has a warm and rustic enviroment. They were nice enough to accomodate our large party even with our last minute planning. They have two separate dining areas and we sat in the saloon which was small and quaint and right next to the bar which means we got our drinks toot sweet! Being the whiskey bitches we are we had to try out their classic old fashion which was delicous. They had a specialty cocktail menu as well as a full bar. The food menu was small, but featured many options for different cuts of beef and sauces and toppings to accompany them. We started off with the scallops as well as the beef tartare. Mom and I are particular about our seafood and we both agreed that the scallops were cooked to perfection. For dinner I chose the kobe steak and Mom chose the filet. Another of our group ordered a local offering of Elk. It was very flavorful and tender. The sides were a la cart and family style so we chose a couple to share. Both of our steaks were well seasoned, tender and cooked perfectly to our temperature requests. To be honest though the star of the show was our dessert, we had creme brulee and it was extremely decadent with a perfect sugar crust top. We also were highly impressed with the service. Our server went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and insure that I felt special on my birthday. We would recommend this place 10/10 !!!!!
Cecili'as Martini Bar & Night Club

This cool little martini bar is located in Breckenridge and we popped in there while waiting on a reservation list to eat at another restaurant. What mostly pulled us in was the 2-4-1 martinis which was too good of a deal to pass up. They had a list of signature cocktails, but were able to make you a martinini of your choosing if you didnt see one that you liked. Featured in the picture was the key lime martini which was tart and not overly sweet! We also enjoyed their esspresso and chocolate offerings as well. Although we only got to hang out for a quick drink we were also able to snag their empanadas which they offer for a food option. The empanadas paired perfectly with our empty stomachs while we downed our drinks. This place was definetly a perfect little pit stop to hold us over till dinner and would recommend 10/10!
Breckenridge Brewing Company

We made it a point to stop at this place because we are all a fan of their Vanilla Porter. While visitng we did the only thing that makes sense when youre in a brewery ORDER A SHIT TON OF BEERS. We were unfortunately too busy chugging beer to focus on taking pictures so we have a few of our favorites that we tried below (these photos belong to Breckenridge brewing). We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to any brewery heads passing through 10/10 fo sho!
Breckenridge's Insta Famous Crepe Place

While some of us were unable to hang after mutiple nights of drinking (I am calling myslef out) a few of the crew went into town and hit up a few spots that are well known across the Gram. One of these was this crepe place ! I was unfortunately unable to indulge in the delicious crepes so I'll be letting my friend Katie do the revieiwing
" They were extra large crepes which were very similar to the ones I had in Paris. They were crispy and fresh with lots of nutella! Be prepared for a long line, but the employees do their best to give everyone a fresh delicious crepe and time by the fire pit. If you're a crepe fanatic like myself then definetly check this place out!" Katie was too busy wiping all the nutella off of her face to snap any pics, but we provided some from their instagram to show you how scrumptious they are.
The Troll In The Woods

So this cool experience was another one that I MISSED because I was really feeling my age that morning. BUT my friends had an amazing time and we had to share this experience with you guys. So the idea of a big hike with my hanogover did not seem pleasant, but what I learned from those that went that the hike itself to see the troll wasn't long at all! So if you find yourslef in a predicament like myself definitely push yourself to go! There were a few different trails you could take and the scenery with the fresh fallen snow was Gram worthy. They reccomended this nature and troll walk as a 10/10
Breckenridge Ski resort

A few of us decided to venture out and have a ski day! This review is based purely off amateurs who haven't gone skiing in years as well myself who only managed to make it down the hill once. I apparently didn't dress my head properly and my forehead was forming icicles. BUT despite all of those things we had a great time and great experience at this resort! Due to Covid they have implemented purchase in advance ski passes as well as a reservation which honestly seemed nice because there weren't as many people on the mountain. We were stressed about booking the day passes and finding reservations but it was all a very seamless experience. All of the employees were super helpful and encouraging when we told them that we were amateur ski bunnies. If I ever decided to try my hand at it again I would definitely return to this ski resort! It was a great experience! Would recommend not missing!
Indian Springs Resort

While in Colorado we of course had to check out a natural hot springs! We found this place in a cute little town called Idaho springs. It was located about 30 minutes from where we were staying in Frisco, CO. The hot springs are located indoors and flowed into a large swimming pool. We had to make reservations ahead of time and did cost to enter. They gave us an hour inside the pool and offered bathrooms and lockers to change afterwards. The pool was really nice and relaxing and something unexpected for myself. I actually felt better afterwards from all the minerals in the water. I honestly think the quality of my life would be better if I could take a bath like that every day. We all enjoyed this experience and would absolutely suggest to make it a part of your trip.
I had the most amazing 30th Birthday trip a girl could ask for and the most wonderful time with the people that mean the most to me. If you are looking for a relaxing, fun, and nature filled getaway Frisco & Breckenridge is your spot. If you guys have any more questions about any of the places we talked about don't hesitate to ask!
