Here at whiskey teacup we love baking as much as we do cooking especially this time of year. When it comes to our arsenal of Christmas cookie recipes we have found that we basically stick to one thing which is the ever traditional chocolate chip cookies! (I know sometimes we can be so BASIC) So we had our good friend Nicole swing by the Whiskey kitchen to show us her late Mom's favorite cookie recipe and help expand our horizons :)) This recipe is super simple and takes only about 45 minutes from beginning to end. These cookies are great if you’re in a pinch for time and have a Christmas cookie exchange to rush to. 👍💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼💃🏼⛄️ *FULL RECIPE VIDEO BELOW*

❄️Ingredients❄️

  1. 2 cups of all purpose Flour

  2. 1 cup of 10X sugar

  3. 2 sticks of butter

  4. 1/4 teaspoon of salt

  5. 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

  6. 1 cup of chopped walnuts

  7. extra powdered sugar for dusting tea a

❄️Step by Step❄️

  1. Pre heat your oven to 400 degrees

  2. In a stand mixer cream the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy

  3. Then add your flour, salt, and vanilla extract and mix until a crumbly consistency forms

  4. Keep beating until a nice dough ball has formed

  5. Once that happens then its time to assemble ! start by pinching off pieces of dough and roll into round balls with your hands

  6. Place formed dough balls onto a greased cookie sheet and place in your 400 degree oven for 10 minutes

  7. Since everyones ovens vary Nicole suggests checking it around 8 minutes. A caramel colored bottom is what you're looking for in regards to doneness

  8. Once they are cooked through let them cool on a cooling rack for fifteen minutes

  9. After they have cooled roll them completely in powdered sugar and they are ready to serve !

P.S Nicole says they taste even better once they have been able to sit for a day or two! and also they hold true to their tea cookie name these are meant to be eaten while drinking your favorite beverage !
